Since 2005, Marie has been a member of Mark Malone’s team. She is involved in all aspects and sectors of commercial real estate including retail, office, and warehouse sales and leasing, as well as development projects. Marie coordinates property showings and tours and prepares comparable data for market analysis. Marie is a property manager and investor. She is an expert at running a project both with great efficiency and attention to detail. Mike Anderson came to MCB in 2016 and has been a broker since 2007. Mike has built an incredible professional reputation and a proven track record of success within the real estate community. Karen has been practicing commercial real estate in Maine since 1991 and was voted Maine Commercial Realtor of the year in 2012. Over the last 27 years, Karen has been involved with many retail and development projects in Southern Maine. Her largest single investment sale topped $15,000,000. Karen specializes in all aspects of sales and leasing of retail, office and industrial properties. Her expertise in assembling development sites throughout Maine has proven invaluable to her clients. Karen is a member of Maine Commercial Association of Realtors and serves on their Board of Directors and is involved with many local civic projects. She lives on Long Island, Maine with her husband, Zoeth.
Cheri Bonawitz is a commercial broker with extensive experience in the leasing and sale of retail, office, industrial, multi-family, land and investment properties. One of Cheri's larger accomplishments in the industry was her involvement with the brokerage of the mega portfolio sale of J&S Oil in 2016 which included the acquisition of eight convenience stores with gas stations, two auto service stations, three car washes, a wholesale fuel supply division, and transportation logistics. Cheri is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) and a member of the Maine Commercial Association of REALTORS, Maine Association of REALTORS and National Association of REALTORS. Cheri is involved with local charities and is a Director for USA Hockey. Cheri resides at Higgins Beach in Scarborough, Maine, with her husband, Dr. Steven Bonawitz, and their two children.
Brandon joined Malone Commercial Brokers in 2017 after several years with SVN | The Urbanek Group. Prior to his tenure there, he was a commercial construction project manager with Ledgewood Construction, Landry-French Construction and PC Construction. As a construction manager, Brandon was involved in upwards of $100 million of new commercial construction and renovation projects in the greater Portland Area. He has first-hand knowledge and experience in land use regulations, zoning, site work requirements and building costs. After working two summers on a lobster boat on Casco Bay during college breaks, Brandon moved to Maine in 2002. Brandon is involved in various community organizations and resides in Cape Elizabeth with his wife and three children.
After a successful career in commercial banking, commercial insurance and various real estate projects, Phil joined the MCB team in 2019 returning to a life-long interest in commercial real estate.
Phil started his career in commercial lending with a Boston regional bank and advanced to Vice President of Commercial Real estate at the former Maine National Bank. During this time, he earned his MBA from Babson. In the early 90s Phil furthered his commercial real estate experience at the Boulos Company.
In 1993 his entrepreneurial spirit led him to start the O’Hearn Insurance Agency where he built a successful independent agency with a strong focus on commercial and habitational insurance. The agency was sold to United Insurance in 2014. Other business interests included partnerships in a mortgage company, an agency focused on the affordable housing market throughout the US, and personal real estate endeavors.
After many years serving the Cape Elizabeth community, Phil now resides in Scarborough with his wife Diane.

Diane came to Malone in 2016 with an extensive background in commercial and residential real estate both in sales and administration. Diane brings a wealth of experience to MCB in the areas of office operations/duties plus all things related to running a commercial real estate office. Prior to her work in real estate, Diane was the Director of Brand Marketing for a major New England based supermarket chain. Diane works closely with the V.P. of Development for MCB and as support to our successful brokers. Diane also supports her local community by fundraising and event involvement.
RECEPTION & ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT
Leah is the face of Malone. Leah pleasantly greets and receives our clients and guests. She also manages all MCB logistics behind the scenes for our owners, brokers and staff. Leah has property management experience, and has experience in banking, as well as law firm administrative experience. From online property databases to working with our Director of Marketing & Communications, Leah does it all.
Leah supports everyone at MCB. And she is the company organizer.
CREATIVE & DIGITAL SERVICES
Karen joined MCB in 1996. Karen directs and manages digital experiences with social strategies for MCB. Successfully guiding and growing our brand through the digital landscape to benefit our clients’ product adding consumer value. Karen extensively researches properties and creates and customizes various media and online content for targeted marketing. Being creative is her forte, and she is an avid photographer. Karen’s original videos and web content design are often seen in online ads and proposals for a vast amount of properties and projects. Additionally, she plays an integral part in the creation of market data publications for MCB. Karen is a valuable resource to both our company and our clients.
Michelle joined Malone Commercial Brokers in 2018 and brings 20+ years of office management, marketing and graphic design in the commercial real estate industry. As an administrator, Michelle is involved in all aspects of the real estate transaction. Creates marketing brochures and works closely with the VP of Operations and Business Development. Prior to working in real estate, Michelle coordinated the sales activities for an international engineering firm. An outdoor enthusiast, Michelle embraces every season that Maine has to offer. She is also an avid community volunteer and lives in Freeport with her husband and three children.
